White mustard is a perfect base for homemade mustard. The recipe is easy: soak 1/2 white mustard seed with 1/2 brown or black mustard seed. Add whiskey till covered and soak overnight, then grind in a blender with equal amounts of apple cider vinegar. Add a pinch or more of turmeric and you are done. Stores in refrigerator.
Doubles as an excellent late season cover crop.
