• Cover Crop – Red Clover

    • $12.50

Best frost sown or broadcast early spring as soon as the ground can be worked, just lightly rake in. Can work other times of year with adequate moisture. Rule of thumb is a handful per sq.m. but may take more depending on weed pressure.

      Perennial

      Category: .

Could have wrote a dissertation or at least a kick ass extension bulletin on this one.

Still valued as a rotation crop and soil builder at the commercial scale, but really shines in the garden or lawn as well.

Once established over the first year let it fully flower the following spring prior to cutting or tilling in. We recommend mowing in twice the second year prior to finally working in.

Flowers make an astringent but power packed tea that you and your plants will love!
